About SLCA

SLCA AuditoriumWelcome to the Spiritual Living Center of Atlanta—one of the most exciting and powerful New Thought communities in the Southeast!

New Thought / Ancient Wisdom

The Spiritual Living Center of Atlanta is a thriving, midtown spiritual community. This is a community which recognizes and honors God, as It is expressed through the wisdom of all spiritual teachers, including Jesus, Moses, the Buddha, Gandhi and Dr. King (among others). We have no formal doctrine or dogma. Our one-hour Sunday services are open and comfortable, with music, laughter, and interesting talks.

Open Hearts / Open Minds

Our membership is extremely diverse, including a vibrant and eclectic group of over 600 members with a wide range of educational, creative and business experience. People who attend our services are those who are looking for an open spiritual teaching where personal growth and individual expression are encouraged. In fact, many of us had quietly followed our own solitary thoughts about God for years, until we found this place which taught exactly what we had always believed!

A New Pledge For This Independence Day

Six years ago around this time, I was on a speaking tour in South Florida and had taken the morning and afternoon to go and explore the beaches in Fort Lauderdale. With me was the book The Journey Home: a Kryon Parable. That afternoon I finished it for what must have been the fifth or sixth time. Inspired, I traipsed over to a grove of trees and picnic tables and began composing what I called A New Pledge.

I sent it out via e-mail list serves and it was picked up by two major sites that had a readership in the tens of thousands. It was the first time that anything I had written reached that kind of mass exposure. It went from Brooklyn to Baghdad and the response was amazing. Even people from countries who were not accustomed to the terminology of “pledging allegiance” got the intent and positively responded.

Now, thanks to the amazing technical expertise of my friend Cari Searcy and her company All Good Creatives, it has found a new life. My prayer is that it again finds strong, supportive legs to travel out in the world due to her extraordinary talent for graphic and design. After two days on YouTube, response has already generated over 1100 hits and many churches/centers will show it this upcoming Sunday the 4th.

Watch, enjoy and spread it around to those you feel will resonate to its message.
