The Writers’ Forum (2nd & 4th Mondays)

Wayne South Smith

Second and Fourth Mondays - Ongoing

Celebrate the creative spirit by joining the community of the Writers’ Forum where writers share original works on various subjects through different genres. Facilitated discussions of shared works are balanced with positive feedback and constructive suggestions offering the opportunity for creative growth of both writers and audience alike.

The Forum is neither a formal class nor a workshop, but an ongoing meeting of writers. Come as often as you like; no advanced registration necessary. Open to all adults, Forum participants include writers at all experience levels, non-SLCA members, as well as writing enthusiasts.

SLCA Newcomers Mixers & Affirmative Prayer Workshops

Sept 12, Oct 18, Nov 15 - 6:15-8:15pm

& Affirmative Prayer Workshopsnewcomer-mix

Our Newcomers’ Mixer meets once a month  at the SLCA offices. Our Mixers are always a lot of fun and well-attended. Please join us for this next casual Question & Answer session about who we are, what we practice, classes we offer, and services we provide.

We’ll have folks you can meet and get your questions answered. Part of the Mixer will include an Affirmative Prayer Workshop. You’ll find out how to apply this basic prayer & meditation tool, a foundation of SLCA teachings, in your daily life — to get the results you want. The Mixer is open to everyone.

To RSVP, please email Beverly Molander at: molander@nextstepnetwork.net

The third Monday of each month - evenings at 6:15-7pm (Mixers) and  7-8:15pm (Workshops)
at the SLCA Offices.
Note: The September Mixer will be held on Sunday evening, September 12, at the Wieuca Baptist Church in order to offer the opportunity for newcomers to attend Rev Paul Gonyea’s Retirement Sock Hop that evening.
