ADULT STUDY

SUNDAY MORNINGS BEFORE SERVICE STARTING AT 9:00 AM

This Study/Discussion Group will be led by Practitioners, Practitioner Interns, and Ministers and is open to all adults who visit the Center.

We will be reading from: 365 Science of Mind, by Ernest Holmes. This time is designed for us to come together as a community, learn about the Science of Mind principles, share insights and answer questions from the reading Each day, outside of class read the one-page daily reading. On Sunday morning, we will come together as a community to discuss what we have read.

CANCER SURVIVOR SUPPORT GROUP

Our Cancer Survivor Support Group helps those individuals in the SLCA Community to embrace and grow from the physical experience of cancer using the healing principles of Science of Mind teachings.

Together we recognize the meaning and truth in our experiences, and recognize the many forms of healing that are available to us at any time.

CHOIR – SOUND OF LIGHT

The Spiritual Living Center of Atlanta’s “Sound of Light Choir Atlanta” (SLCA), under the direction of Penelope Williams and Ty Andrews, welcomes all levels of vocal experience. Our music program is supported with experienced, music and vocal professionals to help any skill level singer reach his/her full potential.

The choir meets Thursday evenings at 7:00pm at Spiritual Living Center of Atlanta.

DANCE – SPIRIT IN MOTION

Spirit in Motion presents choreography that supports healing, revelation of Spiritual Truth and the sacredness of dance as an expression of universal love. The ministry meets Saturdays 10:30 am to 12:00 pm and is open to all who desire to minister through dance. Classes are designed to create choreography for Sunday services while dancers engage in the opportunity to expand their ability to express the Presence through various dance modalities. Each Class is held with two distinct elements of the Dance Ministry experience.

– Learn Freestyle Movement and Choreography
– Perform Special Dances for Services and Events.

THE EDUCATED EATING CLUB (E2 Club)

The E2 Club meets in a relaxed, nonjudgmental and supportive environment to discuss issues related to health and nutrition. The Club also focuses on providing valuable tools to help empower individuals to seek a higher level of health through education, awareness, and encouraging personal responsibility regarding food, lifestyle, and healthcare choices.

The club meets Saturdays from 11:00am-12:00pm

GLEE SPIRIT

GLEE (Gays Lesbians & Everyone Else) Spirit is made up of like-minded individuals who identify as members or friends of the LGBT community. We provide a place for people to socialize, support, and serve one another. We have four sub-groups that may be of interest that you can join, or just attend functions.

The Education Group hosts educational events and forums and explore avenues of support for its members through speakers, workshops, and groups.

The Community Service Group provides serves a number of populations, such as homeless gay youth and elder care through volunteer support.

The Social Group provides opportunities for members to interact and enjoy one another through games, movies, and activities.

The Pride Group provides services in conjunction with Gay Pride activities in October including working the booth in the park and marching in the parade. s to the members of our community! Everyone is welcome, and we look forward to getting to know you at the level of your desired involvement!

PET MINISTRY

LCA recognizes that pets are important member of our families and some of our greatest spiritual teachers and companions. The SLCA Pet Ministry has been created to offer spiritual support and other resources for pet owners in our congregation. This ministry will be visible throughout the year and congregants can participate with the ministry as volunteers and can also utilize the ministry when you are in need of support as a pet owner.

The annual Pet Blessing Experience takes place each fall, for all types of pets and their owners is always a favorite among our community.

WOMEN IN TRUTH (WIT)

WIT is the Women’s Ministry at SLCA which provides gatherings, speakers, retreats, and service projects focused on women’s issues. This uniquely nurturing and supportive group helps every member connect with and honor her Divine feminine nature.

YOUTH PROGRAM

SLCA offers enrichment programs for children and teens during our Sunday experience. Games, crafts, and spiritual ideas are incorporated to make this time fun and meaningful for any age child.

“SEVA” is a Sanskrit word meaning “string,” and implies the inter-connectedness of all things. “SEVA” also refers to volunteer work, selfless service, and work offered to God. SLCA is always looking for dedicated volunteers to donate their time and talents to our community!
