Minister’s Message – December 19, 2013

DavidAultHeadshotSmallDear SLCA Family,

As I address this by using the word family, I do so with the most beautiful and grateful of intentions. I have long ago discovered that family is rarely those we call our blood relatives but more true to form, it is made up of a patchwork of souls who have shown up in both the lows and the highs, the victories and defeats of life, actively choosing to stick around and dance this dance of life through the thick and the thin.

The beautiful one’s in the above picture do exactly that!

Author Richard Bach penned, “The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other’s life.

With each passing milestone, the family of SLCA grows and shares, laughs and cries, and supports each other through the various growing pains that is normal for any community whose vision has value. And through it all we continue discovering deeper levels of respect and a willingness to celebrate all moments.

Together, we envision a home where everyone is reawakened to the truth of who they are, a place where they are reacquainted with their inherent wholeness and power. That is an intentional family – made from choice.

From my newly expanded family through marriage to the wonderful Ty Andrews, to each and everyone of you, I offer heartfelt gratitude for all that you are, all that you do, and all that you are becoming.

Merry Christmas, Glorious Kwanzaa, Happy Hanukkah and light and love to all,

– Rev. Dr. David Ault
