Duncan Teague will lead a unique karamu ritual that embodies a spirit of welcome and hospitality, fosters feelings of unity and joy, and celebrates both historical and contemporary African American accomplishments.
As you are able, we invite you to bring a dish to share. dishes from all cultures and cuisines are welcome; however, we encourage you to consider bringing a dish in one of the following colors represented on our ritual table: black (e.g., black-eyed peas), white (e.g., rice), red (e.g., tomato salad), green (e.g., collard greens), or gold (e.g., corn, fried chicken, or curried chicken).
