Imagine being without power for days, not being able to navigate past road closures, having your house flooded or completely losing your home. These are some of the challenges our friends and family are experiencing in both Augusta, GA as well as Asheville, NC.
The ministry at SLCA is ready to answer the call for help and we need you. You may be wondering how you can assist. This message today is intended to offer some immediate ways that we can lean in to create an impact for those affected by this devastating disaster.
We have teamed up with our UUCA and TFAM family to collect the necessary items needed to temporarily assist those affected by Helene. We will have a caravan going out this Thursday to Asheville and another going out this Saturday to Augusta. Items needed are as follows: Bottled water, Non-Perishable Food, Diapers, Formula, Menstrual Products, Wet Wipes, Pet Food, Paper Towels. All items can be dropped off at 2650 N. Druid Hills Rd. NE today and tomorrow before 7pm.

Ironically it was just two years ago at this time that we came to you asking for your assistance to bring water for those in Jackson Mississippi and you answered that call with an overwhelming amount of financial support. I thank you in advance for again saying YES.
